Our Fleet: Vehicles for Every Final Journey

The drive from the chapel to the cemetery or crematorium is a small but meaningful part of the day. For some families it's a quiet, traditional procession behind a hearse. For others, it's a chance to honour the person they've lost in a way that genuinely reflects who they were. We have our own well-maintained hearses.

Processions explained

The procession: what to expect

A funeral procession typically follows the hearse from the chapel or service venue to the cemetery, crematorium, or wherever the burial or final farewell will take place. The route is usually planned in advance with us, and we coordinate with traffic if needed.

The procession can:

For very long routes, we discuss whether the procession travels the full distance, or whether the hearse goes ahead and family meet at the destination.

01

Travel directly from the funeral service venue to the destination

02

Take a meaningful detour past the family home, the local marae, the workplace, or another place that mattered

03

Travel slowly to allow family vehicles to follow

04

Be escorted by motorcycles, classic cars, or other vehicles your family has arranged

Pall-Bearers & Carrying The Casket

Most families choose pall-bearers from immediate family and close friends, usually six, sometimes four. We can also provide professional pall-bearers if your family would prefer not to carry, or where additional support is needed alongside family bearers.

We'll guide everyone through what to expect on the day, including a quiet briefing before the service so nobody feels uncertain about timing or movement.
